About Lowcountry Diagnostics

Mobile diesel service built around accurate diagnostics, clear communication, and showing up when trucks and equipment need help.

The standard is simple

Find the real problem. Explain it clearly. Do the repair correctly when it can be handled on-site. Be honest when the truck needs a different plan.

Built from real field experience, not a sales script.

Lowcountry Diagnostics was founded by Joseph Cufaude to bring hands-on diesel repair, diagnostics, and fleet maintenance experience directly to trucks, equipment, jobsites, yards, and roadside locations across the Charleston area.

Joseph’s background comes from years of working around commercial trucks, fleet maintenance, equipment repair, diagnostics, and shop leadership — where downtime, communication, and doing the job right actually matter.

We started Lowcountry Diagnostics because too many truck owners and fleet managers are left guessing. A warning light comes on, a truck derates, an electrical issue shows up, or a unit goes down, and the answer too often becomes throwing parts at the problem. That is not how we work.

Our approach is diagnostic-first. We review the reported issue, verify the failure, test before replacing parts, and explain what we find in clear terms. The goal is not just to get a truck moving again — it is to help customers understand what happened, what needs to be repaired, and what should be watched or planned before it becomes another breakdown.

Lowcountry Diagnostics serves light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, with a focus on mobile diesel diagnostics, fleet maintenance, aftertreatment issues, electrical problems, no-starts, air brake concerns, liftgate hydraulics, HVAC repairs, mobile welding, and practical field repairs.

When a repair can be handled on-site, we handle it. When a job needs shop-level equipment, major teardown, or outside support, we communicate that clearly instead of wasting your time.

For fleet customers, we believe maintenance should be more than an oil change. It should help reduce repeat failures, document concerns, catch problems early, and keep trucks available for work. Whether you run one truck or a small fleet, our goal is to provide accurate diagnostics, clear communication, and repair direction you can act on.

Lowcountry Diagnostics is based in Goose Creek, South Carolina, and serves commercial trucks, contractors, service companies, owner-operators, and local fleets throughout Charleston, North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Summerville, Hanahan, Ladson, Moncks Corner, and the surrounding Lowcountry area.

Accuracy

We do not just clear codes or replace parts blindly. We focus on identifying the cause of the failure so the repair direction makes sense.

Reliability

Customers rely on their trucks to make money. We focus on communication, follow-through, and dependable service when downtime creates pressure.

Flexibility

Mobile heavy-duty truck repair is built around your schedule and your location — yard, roadside, job site, fleet lot, or customer facility.

Built for working trucks

Lowcountry Diagnostics serves owner-operators, fleets, contractors, and diesel equipment owners who need practical support without the delay of towing every issue to a shop.

Our service model is simple: bring the diagnostic process to the asset, communicate clearly, and help customers make informed repair decisions.

Findings, options, and next steps you can act on

You should not have to guess what was checked, what failed, or what happens next. We explain the diagnostic findings, the likely cause, the recommended repair direction, and any follow-up items that should be watched or scheduled later.
