Ford F-Series trucks are the backbone of commercial fleets across the Lowcountry — from owner-operator F-350 service trucks to municipal F-550 utility vehicles and F-750 medium-duty units. Models We Service
F-250 through F-750 — diesel and gas, all configurations
We service the complete range of Ford F-Series commercial trucks in operation across the Charleston area. This covers F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks used by contractors and owner-operators, F-450 and F-550 cab-chassis configurations commonly used for service bodies, dump beds, and utility equipment, and F-600 through F-750 medium-duty trucks in fleet and municipal service.
Diesel engines in our service scope include the 6.7L Power Stroke (2011–present), 6.4L Power Stroke (2008–2010), and older 7.3L Power Stroke and 6.0L Power Stroke engines that still see heavy commercial use in the Lowcountry. The 3.0L Power Stroke in the F-150 and the 7.3L Godzilla gas V8 in F-250–F-750 applications are also within our scope.
Common Repairs
What we see most often on F-Series Power Stroke trucks
6.7L Power Stroke Aftertreatment
DPF soot and ash load faults, SCR efficiency codes, DEF system failures, NOx sensor faults, and EGR-related issues are the most common diagnostic calls on 2011-and-newer 6.7L Power Stroke trucks. Accurate diagnosis before parts replacement saves significant money.
EGR System
EGR cooler failures, EGR valve sticking, and high-pressure EGR issues affect both the 6.4L and 6.7L Power Stroke. EGR cooler failures on the 6.4L can result in coolant contamination and engine damage if not caught early.
Fuel System & Injectors
High-pressure fuel injection faults on Power Stroke engines require accurate testing before injectors are replaced. Misdiagnosed injector faults are expensive — a proper diagnosis identifies whether the injector is actually the problem.
Electrical & No-Start
No-start conditions, module communication faults, ABS warnings, and FICM issues on 6.0L trucks all require systematic electrical diagnosis. We work through the fault tree rather than replacing modules by process of elimination.
Turbocharger & Boost
Variable geometry turbocharger faults, wastegate issues, and compound turbo problems on Power Stroke engines show up as derates, low power, or black smoke. Boost and exhaust backpressure testing confirms the fault before disassembly.
Brake & Air Systems
F-450 through F-750 trucks may be equipped with air-over-hydraulic or full air brake systems. Brake adjustment, air system leaks, and brake condition are all within our service scope on medium-duty F-Series applications.
F-Series fleet service in the Charleston area
Ford F-Series trucks are the most common commercial truck platform in the Lowcountry — contractors, utilities, municipalities, landscapers, and service companies all run them. When a Power Stroke goes down, the impact on the business is immediate. Lowcountry Diagnostics provides mobile service that starts the diagnostic process at the truck's location, not three days later after a tow and a shop queue.
For fleets running F-Series trucks, we offer preventive maintenance programs that keep each unit on a documented service schedule, catch developing issues before they become breakdowns, and provide the maintenance record documentation that fleet operations require.
